Do you enjoy ordering pho at your local take-out? Then you’ll love learning how to make this fragrant, restorative Asian broth from scratch – the Slow Food way!

Pam Root of That’s Life Soup in Montpelier, VT will teach us how to prepare this grass-fed beef stock, steeped with fresh ginger, onion, garlic, cinnamon, star anise, pepper corns, bay leaves, fennel seed, fish sauce, cloves, and Boyden Farm flank steak and bones. We’ll also share a meal of pho together.

Pam has taught numerous cooking classes and prides herself on teaching her students the underlying nutritional importance of utilizing local, seasonal ingredients creating delicious globally traditional soups and dishes for themselves, friends and family.

Additionally her classes teach classical and new cooking techniques, emphasizing SLOW FOOD methods of cooking, while encouraging them to experiment with ingredients and presentation!
