We are looking to extend the market to 3 months of the summer this year, since we had such a successful run for our inaugural year last year!
The Slow Food Vermont Board is delighted to bring you a new kind of Agricultural Farmer’s Market that is community-run and based on the Slow Food principles of Good, Clean and Fair. The vendors are all small-scale farmers and artisan food producers who only sell products that they have produced themselves. It gives local producers an opportunity to talk about the quality, production methods, and pricing rationale with consumers. And, these products help to preserve the food culture and biodiversity of Vermont.
We are taking our first steps toward becoming the third Earth Market in America after Greenville, SC and Puerto Rico. Whether you are headed home after work, or coming into town during the afternoon, we’ve got a new market for you to connect with. By learning more about your farmer’s work you will feel more connected to how you are directly supporting Good, Clean and Fair every time you eat.
