Sunday January 27th: The Inspired Veg
How much do I like a plant based diet? I love it. And beyond all the health benefits, I have to say the main reason for my admiration is how freakin’ gorgeous it is. Due to the image vegetarian food had for a long while, it’s no wonder why people didn’t pay too much attention, i.e. rabbit food, la de dah. A plant based diet is now on the front line for being the way to eat and quite frankly I am majorly impressed with how it has taken off, and how people have taken to it. We’ve got some seriously beautiful dishes out there and I can’t wait to share my favorites. Bring a partner, a friend or come solo to see how Sweet Lime can inspire your veg.
This class takes place in my (Jessica Bongard’s) home kitchen located in Jericho, VT. This particular class is all about making your food look shockingly good and impossible not to eat. I think vegetarians have to work harder at this, and to our benefit. Get your veg on, and you did hear right, I give a $5 in-hand cash discount to current Slow Food members at the class.
Warm Spicy Apple & Carrot Tonic - Freshly juiced with a whole lot of spices going on, served with a lil’ surprise.
Quinoa Collard Wraps - This bad boy has some seriously inspired veg combinations, hey miso.
Charred Cauliflower & Citrus - Do you know what happens to charred cauliflower?…..stupid good.
Delicata Squash Rings & Tahini - Inspired dinner right here, yes! to hemp seeds.
Rosewater Tapioca - Featuring local raw milk, honey and a smidge of pistachios.
And there will be another dessert because I can’t help myself. You’ll be happy that I can’t.
