We at Slow Food Vermont work hard to bring Good, Clean and Fair food each and every day to eaters in Vermont. Our chapter has been focusing on three key areas of food that increase access, enhance enjoyment and celebrate conviviality!  All three of these focus areas and how we would bring them to Vermont came to be at Terra Madre.

  • Summervale

    If you’ve ever been to the Intervale in Summer, chances are that you’ve been to our tent at Summervale and tasted a wide range of foods that Vermont has to offer: everything from artisanal breads, cheeses, and chocolates to heritage apples, tomatoes and carrots! We keep learning fun, interesting and tasty! We also take time to talk about the science of taste and help to calibrate palates and generate a food vocabulary!

  • Terra Madre

    We are campaigning to raise funds to send up-and-coming Slow Food Vermont leaders to Terra Madre 2014.

    It is our greatest desire to send our new leaders to this gathering of world food communities to network, share, and bring back what they have learned to the Green Mountain State! In 2012 (most recent Terra Madre) 4 out of the 5 delegate slots for the Northern New England region went to Vermonters! This was a huge honor and we couldn’t have been prouder!
